Taiu Ltd

Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (our terms of service) set out the basis on which Taiu Ltd provides TAIU to you. By continuing to use TAIU you agree to them.

Who you are contracting with

TAIU is provided by Taiu Ltd, based in London and Dubai. When you use TAIU, you are contracting with Taiu Ltd. By continuing to use the service you confirm that you accept these terms, and that you are old enough to enter into them where you live.

What TAIU is

TAIU is a reflective writing and conversation service. It helps you think through questions in your life and keep a private record of your thinking. It is not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are at risk of harm, please use the urgent support routes we link to instead.

Using the service fairly

Do not misuse TAIU. That means no use for anything unlawful, no fraud or spam, no infringing anyone's intellectual property, no interfering with the service's security and no probing, scraping or disrupting it. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.

TAIU may sometimes produce output that is inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for how you use anything it generates and for checking anything that matters before you act on it.

Our intellectual property

Taiu Ltd owns TAIU, including the software, the writing and the branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you hold. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or reverse engineer it and you may not circumvent any technical limits.

What you write in TAIU is yours. You give us a limited licence to host and process it solely so that we can provide the service to you.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which you can read at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Where a membership is a recurring payment, it continues until you cancel it, and you can cancel at any time.

Service availability

We do our best to keep TAIU available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service is provided as it is, and we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if a payment is not made, if there is a security or fraud risk, or for repeated or serious violations. If your access ends, you can ask us for an export of your writing before it is deleted.

Liability

To the extent the law permits, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms we will update this page. Questions about them can be sent to info@taiu.co.uk.
